Overview
SMRxT is a medication adherence company primarily serving US markets. The company operates a hardware adherence solution, as well as a platform that powers the delivery of Adherence Media™, allowing clients to customize, test and advance intervention content and protocols specific to each patient. As part of this adherence system, SMRxT offers Nomi, a smart pill bottle with multiple sensors that collect information on time, movement and temperature in addition to medication weight to support adherence tracking.
How it works
Nomi smart pill bottles must be filled by a pharmacist and then distributed to the patient. The bottle automatically tracks adherence via a cellular data connection from the bottle to an online database. This data can then be shared with clinicians and family members. The system provides automated and real–time messages, interventions and captures patient feedback.
SMRxT has partnered with Verizon, who have showcased the smart pill bottle.
