Overview
WestRock and AARDEX provide a broad array of packaging products for healthcare, including a number of adherence solutions. The Electronic Dosepak combines a medication package in blister form with a reusable electronic module.
For the full portfolio of adherence packaging options that WestRock/AARDEX produce, visit their website.
How it works
Medication is packed in the Dosepak and issued a companion electronic module. The module records the time and date that the medication is taken, which is transferred to the medAmigo software platform. When the patient finishes all of the medication in the package, they receive another Dosepak and transfer the electronic module to it.
Scoring
The Electronic Dosepak has been scored below according to it’s ability to serve the TB market for low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) along Fit for Purpose and Technical Specifications metrics. Note that higher scores equate to a greater ability to serve the market. For example, if a product scores well in the Provider Burden subcategory, that means that the burden for the provider is low.
